Our Environmental Policy
We take a proactive approach to all environmental issues...
We are dedicated to reducing our impact and the impact of our products on the environment. Having a positive effect on the planet is paramount to the ethos of our organisation – we strive to eliminate any releases to land, air or water; we have a positive recycling policy throughout the organisation and use environmentally friendly treatment and disposal practices for waste not eliminated at source or recycled. All existing manufacturing facilities undergo a continual process of monitoring to assure compliance to all legal requirements
- Everyone at Duncan Reeds is responsible for and committed to executing our environmental policy.
- We encourage our suppliers and clients to respect our environmental policy.
-
We have been awarded FSC® and PEFC Chain of Custody certification by BMTRADA Certification Ltd. This FSC® certification is essential to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to environmental issues.
It's also fundamental to our ethos to offer peace of mind to our clients that all our products are ethically sourced and derived from a well-managed, sustainable source.

The Rabbit Group and Duncan Reeds Ltd have worked in collaboration in sustainable waste disposal for a number of years. The two companies share a strong commitment to the green disposal of waste and both work pro-actively to support recycling practices that are in line with EU directives and the UK's commitment to the Kyoto Treaty. The Rabbit Group is pioneering a new way of converting waste to energy called Enviropower - a thermal treatment plant that converts C&D waste to fuel which is then used to power turbines that will offset 4MW of electicity on the National Grid.
Enviropower :-
- Energy White Paper compliant
- Kyoto Treaty friendly
- Removing 48,000 waste tonnes pa from landfill in Sussex
- Exporting 4 Megawatts of green electricity to the local community
- Producing renewable electricity to power 6-10,000 local homes
